What's a Wheel Assembly?

The entire housing containing the wheels, also known as a Roller.  One of the most common issues with sliding doors is broken or worn rollers.  The solution requires care, experience, and attention to detail.

Tracks & Rails

Track is the Problem?

If your door makes excessive bumping nosies the track and thin rails on top may be the issue.  Like a train on damaged tracks, forcing a door to travel back and forth is going to create many other damaged parts.

Quick Fix Tips?

-

Run your finger along the top of the rail to make sure there are no dings or humps.  If there are broken gaps in the rail less than 1/4 inch, a working cover can patch if sized correctly.  Silicone can lubricate aluminum tracks, and teflon works on plastic.

Do It Myself?

We love the can-do attitude, but this might be the most difficult part of any repair job.  Since the door has to be removed, there are no shortage of ways to incorrectly reinstall large, breakable pieces of glass.  We've got a solution and you can take the credit.

There are limited options for stylistic choices on sliding door handles beyond basic colors.  Custom options can be fabricated, but most clients just opt for functionality.

Easy to Fix Lock?

Unfortunately there is no quick fix for a lock issue.  90% of the cases require a replacement of old hardware.  The good news is that we get great deals for you.

Make Door More Secure?

A footlock is an additional lock that is highly recommended for added security on a patio sliding door.  It is an extra security feature requiring an additional key.

Hidden hardware makes interior pocket doors impossible to access without cutting a hole in drywall.  Instead, hanging an artistic, sliding barn door is a great alternative.
